Lets face it.
We’re all very silly little people.
With very silly short-term goals.. no matter what our theoretical good intentions are.
Which is all the more reason for us (okay me) to find a Purpose in life. Yeah, one with a capital P n all. Well, easier said than done. Trust me. Because I have the attention span of a goldfish with Alzheimer’s. So minutes after some (metaphorical) sparkly thing whooshes by, you’ve pretty much lost me - Hey! Have we met?! No .. right?
Kidding.
I’m not that bad. Really. But my point is, it’s all too easy to get caught up in the mundanities of life. And there are entirely and absurdly Too Many of those running at us full speed and it’s all we have time for to get from one monotonous day to another.
And before you know it you’re stuck with a bunch of EMI payments and phamily commitments. And bigger picture .. what’s that?
and This .. is a really sad state of affairs… because when we lose the bigger picture..
And give up on fantastic ideals and flamboyant air-castles… what’s left to live for?

ReplyDeleteWhat is also true is that there are people at the other end of the spectrum. Too busy chasing ideals to not look at what's in front of them.
